For my first project at University at Buffalo’s (UB) Campus Dining & Shops (CDS), I was assigned to create the logo and print/digital collateral for the new rewards program. Below are the logo concepts, car wrap design (side and back), a couple print ads (bus insert and table tent), and graphics I created for the CDS website. I also took the DSLR photography of the prizes.
“Get Your Swipe On” campaign
Campus Rewards also had a “Get Your Swipe On” campaign to coincide with it. The UB CDS Marketing department outsourced cute cartoon monsters. I was then asked to use Adobe After Effects for the first time and animate them! I had a lot of fun with this project, especially since I always wanted to learn After Effects.
I think having these little monsters move really catches the eye of students and faculty/staff. There was an obvious increase in purchases through the UB Card, which is what Campus Rewards and Get Your Swipe On wanted to accomplish.
We decided to freshen the Campus Rewards graphics a little since UB had us change our CDS logo, UB re-branded and came out with a new Blue hex code, and our website was about to get re-designed to match their new re-branding.
